The reaction of IrCl3(tht)3 (tht = tetrahydrothiophene) with alkyl lithium (LiC3H5) ina 1:3 molar ratio gave a neutral complex F which does not have chloride or tht as lig- ands.Complex Fwas found to undergo additional reactions further with (i) 1 mole of PPh3 and(ii) 2 moles of PMe3 to give complexes G and H, respectively. Complexes F, G, and Hobey the 18- electron rule. Draw the struc- tures of complexes F, G, and H indicating theligands' bonding mode.
