An example of a positive feedback diagram is the process of global warming. As the Earth's temperature increases due to factors such as greenhouse gas emissions, the polar ice caps begin to melt. This melting ice reduces the Earth's albedo, or ability to reflect sunlight, causing more heat to be absorbed by the Earth's surface. This leads to further warming, which in turn accelerates the melting of the ice caps, creating a self-reinforcing loop of increasing temperatures.

In this example, the initial change (warming) leads to an increase in that change (melting ice caps), which further amplifies the initial change (warming), creating a positive feedback loop.
