Sound cannot be transmitted on the moon because it lacks a medium for the sound waves to travel through. On Earth, sound waves travel through the air, water, or solid materials, but the moon has no atmosphere or water, and its surface is made up of rock and dust that are too sparse to transmit sound waves effectively. As a result, there is no medium for sound waves to propagate through on the moon, making it impossible for sound to be heard.

The moon most certainly does have an atmosphere. More precisely it has an exosphere. Just because it doesnt contain oxygen doesnt mean it doesnt have other gasses being held by its gravity. Maybe an"atmosphere" needs to be redefined??
