The workforce at a local factory were having difficulties with their current vending machines. They had three machines - one can machine, one hot beverage machine and one snack vendor which were located in the canteen area.   The Problems The vending machines were regularly running out of products The snack machine kept jamming which resulted in staff rocking the machine to release the jam. This had led to the machine being damaged. The machines were located next to the main walkway from the offices to the factory floor. During break times it was difficult to get past the people standing to use the machines.                  I.         Using the brainstorming technique, suggest ways of resolving the above problems?               II.         What factors would you take into consideration to evaluate the solutions that you listed above?             III.         Assume the management after extensive consultation decided to reposition the vending machine away from the doors to the office and the factory. Create a draft layout of the canteen that shall be used for implementation?
