Sunnah of the Prophet or verses about speaking softly?

1. "And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, 'My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up [when I was] small.'" (Quran 17:24)

2. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The best among you are those who have the best manners and character." (Sahih Bukhari)

3. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or keep silent." (Sahih Bukhari)

4. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk, as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds become vain while you perceive not." (Quran 49:2)

5. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The believer does not slander, curse, or speak in an obscene or foul manner." (Sahih Muslim)

Sunnah of the Prophet:

- Speak Softly and Gently:

> "Verily, Allah likes those who are humble, and He dislikes those who are arrogant." (Tirmidhi)

> "Verily, the best among you are those who are the best in character." (Bukhari)

> "The Prophet used to speak in a soft and low voice." (Bukhari and Muslim)

Verses of the Quran:

- Lower Your Voice When You Speak:

> "And lower your voice, for the harshest of voices is surely the braying of the asses." (Luqman 31:19)

- Speak with Kindness:

> "And speak to people with kindness." (Baqarah 2:83)

- Avoid Raising Your Voice:

> "Do not raise your voice above the Prophet's voice, and do not speak to him in a loud voice as you would speak to one another, lest your deeds be rendered worthless while you perceive not." (Hujurat 49:2)

Additional Sunnah:

- Avoid interrupting others while they are speaking.
- Listen attentively to what others have to say.
- Choose words that are respectful and not hurtful.
- Use a moderate tone of voice, even when expressing disagreement.
