In John chapter 3, why did Nicodemus went to Jesus at night? If he afraid that others may see him, then what will they going to do to him? Explain it in a very very simplify language??

Nicodemus went to Jesus at night because he was afraid of what other people would think. He was a religious leader and didn't want to be seen talking to Jesus, who some people didn't like. If others saw him, they might criticize him or even punish him for talking to Jesus.
