Definition of the Quran?

The Quran is the holy book of Islam, believed by Muslims to be the word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. It is written in Arabic and is considered the ultimate source of guidance and moral teachings for Muslims.

The Quran (also spelled Qur'an and Koran) is the central religious text of Islam, believed by Muslims to be a revelation from God (Allah). It is widely regarded as the finest work in classical Arabic literature and is divided into 114 chapters (surahs), which are further subdivided into verses (ayahs). The Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad over a period of approximately 23 years, beginning in 610 CE and ending with his death in 632 CE.
