According to chomsky how do children learn a language?

Chomsky believed that children have an innate ability to learn language, which he called the "language acquisition device." He argued that children are born with a set of universal grammar rules that allow them to quickly and effortlessly learn the language(s) spoken around them. Chomsky proposed that children are able to infer these rules from the input they receive and use them to generate an infinite number of grammatically correct sentences.
