Materials: - Picture cards of safe and dangerous touches - Large open space for movement activities - Whistle
Warm-up (5 minutes): - Begin the lesson with a quick warm-up activity such as jumping jacks or running in place to get the students' bodies moving.
Introduction (5 minutes): - Show the students picture cards of safe and dangerous touches. - Discuss with the students the difference between safe and dangerous touches. - Emphasize the importance of speaking up and seeking help if they experience a dangerous touch.
Main Activity (20 minutes): - Divide the students into pairs. - One student will be the "toucher" and the other will be the "receiver". - The toucher will demonstrate safe and dangerous touches on the receiver. - The receiver must identify whether the touch was safe or dangerous and react accordingly (e.g. saying "stop" or moving away). - Switch roles after a few minutes.
Cool Down (5 minutes): - Lead the students in a cool-down activity such as stretching or deep breathing to relax their bodies.
