A Christmastide Tale
In a world all hushed and still,
As snowflakes softly fall,
A Christmastide tale we will fill,
With wonder for all to call.
A manger humble, small and low,
Wherein a Child was laid,
A Savior born, our hopes to sow,
A light in darkness made.
Three wise men from distant lands,
Guided by a star so bright,
Seeking Him with gifts in hands,
To worship with all their might.
Shepherds watching o'er their sheep,
Heard angels sing with joy,
"Good tidings of great peace to keep,
For Christ the newborn Boy."
The earth rejoices, filled with cheer,
As hearts with love are stirred,
A Savior come to banish fear,
A hope for all, assured.
Oh, Christmastide, a time so rare,
When love and joy abound,
A season to draw near and share,
The blessings that surround.
Let us remember, in this hour,
The Child born long ago,
Whose love and grace have such great power,
To mend our hearts and bestow.
In giving gifts, let kindness gleam,
In sharing meals, let love be shown,
In spreading cheer, let hope be seen,
For Christ alone is our cornerstone.
So let us celebrate this day,
With hearts that yearn for more,
Seeking Christ, the only way,
To find the peace we adore.
