Why sky blue? ?

The sky appears blue because of a phenomenon called Rayleigh scattering. When sunlight enters Earth's atmosphere, it encounters molecules and tiny particles in the air. These particles scatter the sunlight in all directions. However, the shorter blue wavelengths of light are scattered more than the longer red wavelengths. This scattering of blue light is what gives the sky its blue color.
