Why did Paul wrote this letter ,Philippians 3:7-8 to Philippines?? In simple English??

Paul wrote this letter to the Philippians to tell them that everything he once thought was important in life, like money and status, is not as important as knowing Jesus. He wants them to focus on their relationship with God and not on worldly things.
