CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test. It is a national level examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. The CTET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers in primary and upper primary schools. It is mandatory for candidates who wish to teach in government schools from Class I to VIII. The exam consists of two papers - Paper I for candidates who wish to teach classes I to V, and Paper II for candidates who wish to teach classes VI to VIII.
