What is assemblage?

Assemblage is an artistic technique in which a three-dimensional composition is created by combining various objects or materials, often found objects or recycled materials. The objects are arranged and glued or welded together to create a new, cohesive piece of art. Assemblage can be used in sculpture, collage, and mixed media art. It is often associated with the Dada and Surrealist movements in the early 20th century.
