As of now, there has not been a COP28 as the most recent United Nations Climate Change Conference was COP26, which took place in Glasgow, Scotland in November 2021. At COP26, world leaders and negotiators from nearly 200 countries came together to discuss and negotiate actions to address climate change and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Key outcomes of COP26 included the Glasgow Climate Pact, which set new targets for countries to reduce emissions and increase climate finance, as well as agreements on issues such as phasing out coal and increasing adaptation efforts for vulnerable countries.
