What does mean when things keep going wrong and no one will help you? ?

This year has been the year when o e thing keeps going wrong after another. First, I had a serious medical scare, then my dog died, then the volunteer who did my taxes sent my taxes in wrong, then my roommate's car  had problems working and my phone was not activated right and the phone company will not  help me so I can go to another carrier. Nobody I know will help me including my roommate. He will not even answer questions like what to do if he dies first as I never haf to deal with that issue and he did. We are both in our 60's.  What should I do to get back on track? Why is this happening to me?
