"Things Fall Apart" is a novel written by Nigerian author Chinua Achebe. It was first published in 1958 and is considered a classic of African literature. The novel tells the story of Okonkwo, a respected leader in the Igbo community of Umuofia, who struggles to maintain his traditional way of life in the face of colonialism and changing cultural values. The title of the novel is taken from a line in the poem "The Second Coming" by W.B.
