Topic/Theme: Pursuing Christ above all else

Introduction:
In Philippines 3:7-8, the apostle Paul writes about how he considered everything else in his life as loss compared to knowing Christ. As trainee pastors and wives, it is important for us to also prioritize our relationship with Christ above all else.

Body:
Paul had achieved many things in his life before he encountered Christ. He was well-educated, respected, and successful. However, he realized that all of these accomplishments were nothing compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ. As trainee pastors and wives, we may also have goals and ambitions in our ministry, but we must remember that our ultimate goal should be to know and serve Christ.

Application:
As we go through our training and ministry, let us constantly evaluate our priorities. Are we seeking after worldly success and recognition, or are we seeking to know Christ more deeply? Let us be willing to let go of anything that hinders us from pursuing Christ wholeheartedly.

Conclusion:
Let us follow the example of Paul and consider everything else as loss compared to knowing Christ. As trainee pastors and wives, let us make it our goal to pursue Christ above all else, trusting that He will guide and empower us in our ministry.
