Scriptures on obedience to God.

1. Deuteronomy 11:26-28 - "See, I am setting before you today a blessing and a curse— the blessing if you obey the commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today; the curse if you disobey the commands of the Lord your God and turn from the way that I command you today by following other gods, which you have not known."

2. 1 Samuel 15:22 - "But Samuel replied: 'Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.'"

3. John 14:15 - "If you love me, keep my commands."

4. Romans 6:16 - "Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?"

5. James 1:22 - "Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says."

6. 1 John 5:3 - "In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome."

7. Hebrews 5:9 - "And, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him."

8. 1 Peter 1:14 - "As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance."

9. Ephesians 6:1 - "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."

10. Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
