Plasmolysis??

Plasmolysis is a biological process that occurs in plant cells when they are exposed to a hypertonic (high solute concentration) environment. In this process, water moves out of the cell through osmosis, causing the cell membrane to shrink away from the cell wall. This can lead to wilting and dehydration of the plant.

Plasmolysis is reversible if the plant cell is placed in a hypotonic (low solute concentration) environment, allowing water to move back into the cell and restore its normal shape and function. However, if the plasmolysis is severe or prolonged, it can cause permanent damage to the cell.
