1. International students
2. Students who are not South African citizens or permanent residents
3. Students who are already receiving funding from another government or private organization for the same purpose
4. Students who are studying part-time
5. Students who are pursuing postgraduate studies without a clear research component
6. Students who have already completed their studies and are not enrolled in a recognized institution
7. Students who have been convicted of a criminal offense involving fraud or dishonesty
8. Students who do not meet the academic or financial eligibility criteria set by NSFAS

- Students who have previously obtained a qualification at the same NQF level or higher.
- Students who are registered for a second undergraduate degree.
- Students who are studying part-time.
- Students who are studying through distance learning.
- Students who are studying at a private institution.
