Ideal diode ?

An ideal diode is a theoretical electronic component that acts as a perfect rectifier, allowing current to flow in one direction only with zero voltage drop when forward-biased, and blocking current completely when reverse-biased. In other words, it behaves as a perfect conductor in one direction and a perfect insulator in the other direction. While real diodes have some voltage drop and leakage current, ideal diodes are used in theoretical circuit analysis to simplify calculations and understand basic diode behavior.
