As of September 2021, the executive branch of Kenya is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta. He is the head of state and government, and is assisted by Deputy President William Ruto. The executive branch also includes various Cabinet Secretaries who are appointed by the President to oversee different government ministries and departments. The President and Deputy President are elected by the Kenyan people through a general election held every five years. The executive branch is responsible for implementing government policies, managing the affairs of the state, and representing Kenya both domestically and internationally.
