- Monitor budgets: Track school income and expenditures, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Process payroll: Calculate and distribute salaries to teachers and staff.
- Manage accounts payable: Review and approve vendor invoices for payment.
- Reconcile bank statements: Verify and reconcile bank transactions for accuracy.
- Prepare financial reports: Generate financial statements and reports for the principal and school board.
Office Operations
- Maintain a professional work environment: Ensure the office is clean, organized, and conducive to productivity.
- Manage office supplies: Order and inventory office supplies, and coordinate delivery.
- Utilize technology: Use technology effectively for administrative tasks, communication, and recordkeeping.
- Supervise support staff: Guide and support administrative assistants, clerks, and other support personnel.
- Maintain school website and social media: Update and maintain the school website and social media presence.
Communication and Public Relations
- Communicate with stakeholders: Engage with parents, students, teachers, and the community through various channels (e.g., email, newsletters, events).
- Handle public inquiries: Respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information to external parties.
- Coordinate media relations: Manage press releases, respond to media requests, and facilitate media interactions.
- Promote school initiatives: Promote school programs, events, and accomplishments to stakeholders.
- Build relationships: Foster positive relationships with the school community and external partners.
Other Responsibilities
- Assist with school events: Plan and coordinate school events, including assemblies, sporting events, and fundraisers.
- Provide confidential support: Handle confidential information and assist with sensitive matters.
- Stay abreast of educational policies: Keep updated on relevant educational policies and regulations.
- Contribute to school improvement: Actively participate in school improvement initiatives and provide support to staff.
