The main function of the oviduct, also known as the fallopian tube, is to transport eggs from the ovaries to the uterus. It also provides the site for fertilization to occur when sperm meets the egg. Additionally, the oviduct helps nourish and transport the fertilized egg (zygote) to the uterus for implantation and development into a fetus.
