Function of ovary

The main function of the ovary is to produce and release eggs (ova) for fertilization. The ovary also produces hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which regulate the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and other reproductive functions. Additionally, the ovary plays a role in the development and maturation of female secondary sexual characteristics.
