Three Categories of Domains of Educational Objectives
1. Cognitive Domain:
- Focuses on intellectual processes, such as recalling, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating knowledge.
- Objectives in this domain involve the acquisition, organization, and use of knowledge and skills.
2. Affective Domain:
- Deals with attitudes, values, emotions, and interests.
- Objectives in this domain aim to develop positive dispositions towards learning, subject matter, and others. They include receiving, responding, valuing, organizing, and characterizing values.
3. Psychomotor Domain:
- Relates to physical and motor skills, such as writing, drawing, playing an instrument, and performing physical activities.
- Objectives in this domain focus on developing coordination, dexterity, and the ability to execute physical tasks. It includes perception, set, guided response, mechanism, complex overt response, adaptation, and origination.
