Every computer must undergo booting process from the time it was switched on to the time it is ready for use. Briefly explain four stages of such process ?

1. Power on self-test (POST): When a computer is switched on, the first stage of the booting process is the POST. During this stage, the computer's hardware components are checked to ensure they are functioning properly. Any issues detected during this test will be displayed as error messages on the screen.

2. Loading the BIOS: After the POST is completed successfully, the computer will load the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). The BIOS is a firmware that initializes the hardware components of the computer and loads the operating system from the hard drive or other storage device.

3. Loading the operating system: Once the BIOS has been loaded, the computer will proceed to load the operating system. The operating system is the software that manages the computer's hardware and software resources, and allows the user to interact with the computer. Common operating systems include Windows, macOS, and Linux.

4. Ready for use: Once the operating system has been loaded, the computer is ready for use. The user can log in, open applications, and perform tasks on the computer. The booting process is complete, and the computer is now fully operational.
