- Delusions or false beliefs that are not based in reality
- Hallucinations, such as hearing voices or seeing things that are not there

- Obsessions, or intrusive thoughts or urges that cause anxiety
- Compulsions, repetitive behaviors or mental acts performed to reduce anxiety or prevent a feared outcome
- Difficulty controlling or stopping obsessions and compulsions
