It involves taking into account the interests of all stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders, the community and the environment. CSR encompasses social, ethical, and environmental responsibilities, and commonly includes initiatives such as:

- Environmental stewardship: Reducing carbon footprint, conserving energy, water, and other resources; minimizing waste and pollution; and protecting biodiversity.
- Ethics and transparency: Promoting ethical behaviour in business practices, such as fair competition, anti-corruption measures, and honesty in reporting.
- Social responsibility: Engaging in philanthropic activities, supporting education and healthcare initiatives; promoting diversity and inclusion; and upholding labour rights and employee well-being.
- Respect for human rights: Ensuring that operations do not violate basic human rights, including the prohibition of child labour, forced labour and discrimination.

The goal of CSR is to create a sustainable and positive impact on society while generating long-term shareholder value.
